"Patrick Le is not your common speech and debate member. Indeed, his past has been filled with adventures as he was born in France and raised in the tropical island of Magascar.
Coming to the United States, Patrick had found his true passion in public speaking. After only 1 year in Gabrielino's speech team, Patrick became one of the most active member in the league.
His determination and passion became an example to many, and showed that hard work always pay off.
Patrick started off very well in Original Oratory, and for his first tournament became a semi finalist in the Longbeach Invitational Tournament.
However he focused his efforts in Duo Interpretation, reaping success with his Duo Partner Kwan Lieu. Both of them arrived in the final round of La Mirada Invitational, the final rounds Fall and Spring Varsity, and the semi final of the State qualifying tournament.
Throughout the year, Patrick showed that he was also a skilled debater. With his debate partner Sarah Bradley, the two excelled in Parliamentary debate at both Fall and Spring debate. But Patrick found his debate passion in Congress: he is today the Novice Champion for this event.
But Patrick's true success came later in the year, as he focused back in his Original Oratory. Through hard work, he finished third in the Small National Tournament held at UC Berkeley, and ultimately became the State Champion of the State of California, one of the greatest honor in the world of speech and debate.
Patrick's success continues, as he qualified for the National Tournament in Congress, held in Wishita Kansas the following June."
